 We offer a full range of courses and guided packages along the coast and mountain ranges of Co. Donegal in Ireland's North West. We provide both tailor made instructional/guided packages, group taster sessions as well as formal instructional courses leading to formally recognised leadership qualifications as approved by Mountaineering Ireland and An Bord Oiliúint Sléibhe (BOS).

 We cater for clients of all experience levels from those who have very limited experience of the outdoors and want to have a more relaxed walking, hiking or climbing adventure. We also cater for those seeking a more challenging and thrilling experience such as an ascent of a 400ft sea stack in the most remote and adventurous locations in Ireland. We specialise in applying a holistic approach to learning and teaching to ensure all clients experience and receive the maximum and most rewarding learning experience during their courses and holidays with us.

 Your guide, Iain Miller is an experienced mountaineer with over 25 years’ experience as a mountaineer and rock climber combined with 10 years’ experience of mountain instruction. He has an extensive and unique knowledge of rural, upland and coastal Donegal. He has made over 1000 first ascents of sea stacks, sea cliffs and rock faces in both Ireland and Scotland.

  Iain is the holder of a range of professionally recognised mountaineering qualifications including the Mountain Instructor Award, both the Summer and Winter Mountain Leader Awards and is a full and insured member of the Association of Mountain Instructors (AMI).

 At Unique Ascent our ethos is client care, we utilise the techniques and methods recommended and approved by the Mountain Leader training boards of both the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Combined with our unique holistic teaching practise and the outstandingly beautiful places we will play out in, we can guarantee you an outdoor experience like no other.
