About Silver Strand

This stack sits off the right-hand side of the sliver strand beach by Malinbeg. This beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Donegal.
Access to the stack is by a wee bit of coasteering for as far as you can from the right-hand side of the beach. A high tide approach simply paddle out direct from the beach.
The following route was climbed May 2012, but they found the abseil tat from a previous ascent.

Without a Paddle   25m   S
Start from the highest square platform directly opposite the sea arch on the landward face.  From the platform follow the central cracks and edges between a seaward arête on the left and a small recessed corner on the right.   This wall finishes after 15 meters at a small loose platform about 5 meters from the top. Finish via an exposed, airy position up the final RH corner, finish along the superb Knife edge ridgeline

There is potential for many other routes of the landward face of the stack.
